State Felonies

Under Louisiana state law, a felony is any crime for which an offender may be sentenced to death or imprisonment at hard labor.  All other crimes are considered misdemeanors.

Louisiana law contains a vast variety of felony crimes, ranging from first-degree murder, to armed robbery, to theft of crawfish and alligators.  Each one is a serious offense. Each one demands skill, experience, and dedication from the attorney representing the accused.
